Downtown Hilliard

Another weekend of fun for all takes place on Main Street in Old Hilliard as the 24th incarnation of the Old HilliardFest Street Fair and Art Fair returns to downtown September 11 and 12.  The Hilliard Civic Association invites families, children of all ages and residents from all corners of Columbus and beyond to take part in Hilliard’s biggest party Friday from 5 to 11 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM.

The two-day event features more activities than ever before including local live music, street vendors of all kinds, an eclectic art fair, and a wide variety of food offerings to tempt even the most discerning taste buds.  Additional activities include a car show with over 40 antique, classic and hot rod vehicles as well as numerous games with prizes and carnival rides for kids of all ages.

Children can also participate in the ‘Kids Dash’ – a series of three different length races for each age group; ages 7 and under, ages 8 to 10, and ages 11 to 12. Parents can register their children in advance and find out more information at www.oldhilliardfest.org.

The fun continues all day Saturday as Old HilliardFest carries on its tradition of diversity with a wide mix of local musicians performing on the Main Street Stage throughout the day on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s music happens at the Off Street Stage, located next to Otie's at Main and Center streets, and includes performances by the Greater Columbus Community Orchestra at 7 PM and the Scioto Mudcats at 8 PM.  The GCCO is a 70 piece orchestra funded by the Hilliard Arts Council that calls Hilliard home, and the Scioto Mudcats are a Hilliard based cover band.
