The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum, a not-for-profit educational corporation, is committed to reach its VISION:
As interpretive museum, it places the special significance of the Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg automobiles, and other classics, into a larger historical context of regional, national and international auto development through exhibits, programs and publications.
As an educational institution, it interprets the Auburn, Cord, and Duesenberg automobiles, their place in the classic era of motorcar production, and their creative process and evolution. Through exhibits, publications and programs, it illustrates the characteristics of classic cars which influenced the auto industry at large.
As a unique historical entity, it presents and preserves its significant historic building, the former headquarters of the Auburn Automobile Company, the automobiles manufactured by the company, and the story of its activities and people, through artifacts and literature.
As a museum striving to attain the highest museum standards, it continues its professional development, including the continual improvement of the collections, services to its audiences and human resources. As a biographer, it portrays the contributions and impact on automobiles of industrialist Errett Lobban Cord and his key associates. As a cultural citizen, the museum appropriately nurtures an interaction among individuals and organizations in the museum’s diverse constituencies which range from local to international.
